Typically suited to: 5+ years public practice experience with strong accounting and taxation knowledge.

Intermediate Accountant

You’ll work closely with clients and experienced advisers while taking increasing ownership of your work, client relationships and professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

Junior Accountant

  • Studying towards or completed a degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline
  • Experience with Xero or similar software advantageous
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop

Intermediate Accountant

  • Approximately 3-5 years public practice experience
  • Strong accounting and taxation knowledge
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients

Senior Accountant

  • 5+ years public practice experience
  • Strong technical accounting and taxation expertise
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide commercial advice
  • Experience mentoring or supporting team members desirable

About the role

This is far more than a traditional administration position.

You’ll become a key member of our Shepparton team, providing support to accountants, partners and clients while helping keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes.

Some days you’ll be coordinating workflow, preparing documentation, managing client information and assisting with invoicing.

Other days you’ll be solving problems, improving processes, supporting software systems or helping the team find more efficient ways of working.

No two days are exactly the same.

The variety keeps things interesting and creates opportunities to learn new skills across different areas of the business.

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to tick every box. We’re far more interested in your attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn than whether you’ve done every task before.

The people who thrive at PTP are typically organised, reliable, curious, eager to learn and willing to take ownership of their work. They’re strong communicators, team players and the sort of people who notice the small details that others miss.

Previous administration experience will be highly regarded, although it isn’t essential.
