Tamara Daniel

Associate - Advisory

Named by Ignition in their global list of Top 50 Women in Accounting in 2021—for developing a mentoring program funded by local government to help over 50 rural businesses during COVID—Tamara, known as Tam, moved into the Associate role in 2022 after 12 years with PTP.

As an associate in her hometown of Cobram, she’s a leading expert in the business advisory arm. Tam specialises in personal mentoring of local business owners, using her experience as an accountant and irrigation business owner to help them negotiate roadblocks and progress their business to the next level.

“I look holistically at my clients and help them in all different areas instead of being just the accountant who looks at last year’s numbers and ticks the boxes. I educate them about what they can do with their business and help them make positive changes,” says the mother of three.

Why does she love her job? “As an advisor, I focus on developing strong relationships and trust. That means people feel safe to tell us what their real challenges are so we can help them in a really tangible way,” says Tam, who fishes, camps and does “cool things” with her family in her downtime. “I aim to leave them in a better place than when they came to me.”
